Do you know why I love parents?  Aside from the obvious realization that had they not gotten freaky none of us would be here.  I love parents, mine specifically, because of how my mother chooses to celebrate anything.  She is an over-does-it.  She takes things to 11.  While most parents are content getting their children a bit of candy when Easter rolls around, and this being when they're children not when they're running head-first into 30, my mother likes to give presents.  Case in point:  I just scored a brand new copy of God of War 3.  Is that love?  Yes, yes it is.  And perhaps she did so unknowingly, but she also provided a very valid way to celebrate the day of Jesus' resurrection by giving me the tools to destroy the heathen gods of yore.  What's not to like?

Perfect timing too.  I just put the finishing touches on Heavy Rain which was an enjoyable experience.  I'm anxious to see how it holds up in the long-run as my fear of it not having a terrible amount of replayability seems to be coming true, but I don't know that quite yet.  It will take multiple goes in order to net all of the trophies though there are quite a few you're able to jump around and grab at your leisure rather than having to slog though the entire game all over again.  Seeing how some of the scenes play out depending on your decisions is interesting and I look forward to fleshing those out as they come.  I haven't checked, but I'm pretty sure the first DLC for Rain came out today as well though I'm not sure how anxious I am to jump into that just yet.  Perhaps when all of it is out that will give me a good excuse to fire it back up.

Enjoy your weekend.
